FRNL 1076 Advanced Interpreting Skills: Court and Conference Interpreting (30.0 hours/$175.00)
This is the third in a series presenting interpreting skills for individuals who are fluent in English and a foreign language. The course focuses on simultaneous interpreting in conference and court settings. It will include roles, responsibilities, and ethics of the court interpreter, protocol and procedures for effectively working with judges, attorneys, and respondents to avoid conflicts of interest and legal terminology. Information about licensing and certification for court interpreters will also be provided.
