Study of word origin and structure through the introduction of prefixes, suffixes, root words, plurals, abbreviations and symbols, surgical procedures, medical specialties, and diagnostic procedures. College integrated with HITT 1305. Offered in both a classroom format and on-line. Integrated with college credit HITT 1305. Prerequisites: Comprehension of the English language and basic knowledge of English grammar.
