IBM Certifications

The IBM Academic Initiative (formerly called the IBM Scholars Program) offers open standards, open source and IBM technologies and educational resources to help faculty and students stay current with the IT industry. IBM offers the course materials to help students get started with IBM products and technologies. All IBM courses are taught by IBM certified instructors. The courseware used is official IBM courseware and is included in the tuition. Students must be enrolled at least 5 workdays prior to class start date to ensure book availability at start of class. ITSC 2036 Servlet and JSP Development with Rational Application Developer (36.0 hours/$995.00)
This course is designed to introduce Java developers to the development and testing of server-side applications based on the J2EE component model, using IBM WebSphere and IBM Rational tools. Students will develop servlets, JSP pages, JSP custom tags and JavaBeans with IBM WebSphere and IBM Rational tools. Currently this includes Rational Application Developer for building servlets, building JSP pages, building JSP custom tags and building JavaBeans, and WebSphere Application Server for application deployment integration testing. Prerequisites: To get the most out of this course offering, students must be able to: develop, test, and deploy Java applications and understand server-side Java applications.
