Learn the basics of working wood the old-fashioned way, by hand. A short course in the types of hand tools that were used to work with wood in the 1800s, the proper ways to use them and the way to keep them sharp. A fascinating afternoon of hands-on history. The class is held in a historic woodshop. These classes are held outside or in buildings with little or no heat or air conditioning.

Learn the ABC's of historic home design and architecture, from Greek Revival to Sunday House. Taught by a recognized historic preservation architect. By the time you've finished this class, you will know the difference between Dog Trot and Dog Leg, and Board and Batten from Balusters and Balustrade! These classes are held outside or in buildings with little or no heat or air conditioning.
