Floral Design
Floral displays are created by students and underwritten by student fees. No state funds are used to purchase flowers or supplies for floral design classes.
FMKT 2031 Floral Design
(33.0 hours/$250.00/$25.00 Lab/$3.50 Insurance/$75.00 Material)
FMKT 2031 Floral Design I: Principles of Floral Design
This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to the art of Floral Design. Students will learn tools, mechanics, elements, and principles of design. Students will also learn cut flower identification, care, and handling. Students will make basic floral arrangements, which they will be able to take home.
FMKT 2031 Floral Design II: Holiday Design
Students in this course will learn designs appropriate for various holidays, including Valentine's Day and Christmas. Designs learned can be modified for everyday occasions.
FMKT 2031 Floral Design III: Tropical Design and Special Occasion Design
Students in this course will learn designs appropriate for various special occasions, including birthdays, Homecoming, new baby, and more. Designs learned can be modified for everyday occasions. Students will also have the opportunity to work with tropical flowers. Floral Design Principles is recommended but not required as a prerequisite.
FMKT 2031 Floral Design IV: Business Principles and Sympathy Design
Students in this course will learn sympathy designs such as casket sprays and easel pieces. This class also covers the business of floristry.
FMKT 2031 Floral Design V: Wedding Design
Students in this course will learn designs appropriate for weddings, including bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and ceremony and reception decorations. Floral Design Principles is required as a prerequisite.

FMKT 3005 Dare to be Different

Students in this design class will learn the art of floral design, using unique and cutting edge techniques. Students enrolled in this class must have finished the ACC Floral Design Series.
