An introduction to Adobe Photoshop for creating, manipulating and preparing creative images for print and web output. Gain understanding of resolution and pixel depth. Basic computing literacy required. Integrated with college credit ARTC 1402. Intermediate to advanced techniques using Adobe Photoshop to gain greater proficiency using masks, channels, pen tool, color tools, blend modes, filters, type, actions and more. A study of mark-up language advanced layout techniques for creating web pages. Emphasis on indentifying the target audience and producing web sites according to accessibility standards, cultural appearance, and legal issues. A comprehensive use of HTML tags will be used in conjunction with up-to-date authoring software to publish a complete website for a corporate identity. Integrated with college credit IMED 2415.
