HPRS 1078 Water Treatment for Dialysis
(12.0 hours/$74.50)
Course addresses the process of changing public water into water that is suitable for the dialysis environment. The course reviews the types of contaminants commonly found in water and explains how contaminants can adversely affect dialysis patients. Methods ensuring water safety for dialysis, specifically testing for impurities and bacteria, are presented. Dialysis staff accountability for this critical area is addressed. Coordinator/Instructor approval required 512.223.7090.
