HPRS 1073 Pharmacology

This course is designed to give the students basic pharmacology terminology with a major emphasis on major drug classification, mechanism of action, uses, side effects, and client education, where applicable. An introduction to prescription abbreviations will be covered. Integrated with college credit HPRS 1273.
Prerequisites: BIOL 2401-Anatomy and Physiology I, MDCA 1409/1009-Anatomy and Physiology, or SCIT 1007-Anatomy and Physiology for Coders and HITT 1005/1305-Medical Terminology.
