GISC 2264 Practicum (or Field Experience) – Cartography
Practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student. A capstone experience external to the college for an advanced student in a specialized field. This is a practical, general workplace training experience supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student. It involves a written agreement between the educational institution and a government agency, business or industry. Mentored and supervised by a workplace employee, the student achieves objectives that are developed and documented by the college that directly relate to specific occupational outcomes. This may be paid or unpaid experience and may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. Prerequisite: GEOG 2471.
