GERM 1511 German I
Study of fundamentals of German: conversation, basic writing, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and culture.

GERM 1512 German II
Continuation of GERM 1511 with more advanced conversation, basic writing, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and culture. Prerequisite: Students must have completed a first semester college German course of at least four semester hours with a grade of C or better, or have equivalent credit by examination to enroll in GERM 1512.

GERM 2311 German III
Advanced German grammar, directed composition, conversation, and discussion of culture based on readings. Class conducted largely in German. Prerequisite: Students must have completed a second semester college German course of at least four semester hours with a grade of C or better, or have equivalent credit by examination to enroll in GERM 2311.

GERM 2312 German IV
Continuation of GERM 2311. Prerequisite: GERM 2311 with a C or better, or equivalent.
