To be eligible for registration students must complete the following: (1) pass a competency test based on the ATCEMS Clinical Operating Guidelines, the exam will be available July 1-8, 2010 (2) Present an AHA Healthcare Provider CPR card, (3) proof of current EMS certification and (4) verification of Tb status (PPD). Items 2 though 4 must be valid through the end of the clinical semester in order for a student to register. Verification of eligibility is through the Clinical Coordinator. Additionally, all students registered in EMSP 2260 must attend MANDATORY clinical orientation and skills verification sessions on Aug. 27 and Sept 3, 2010.

EDUC 2301 Introduction to Special Populations
Students in EDUC 2301 must pass a criminal history background check and complete 16 hours of field observations in the public schools. Background checks and placements will be addressed during the first week of class. EDUC 1301 is a pre-requisite course to EDUC 2301. Students must complete EDUC 1301 with a "C" or better.
