Course Descriptions All Courses 
OTHA 2204 Neurology in Occupational Therapy
Study of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology as it relates to neurological conditions commonly treated in occupational therapy. Emphasis on neuro-based occupational therapy intervention techniques. Prerequisite: OTHA 1409, OTHA 2301, and HPRS 1106.

OTHA 2267 Practicum (or Field Experience) - Occupational Therapist Assistant - Level 2
Practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student. Apply the theory, concepts, and skills involving specialized materials, tools, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws, and interactions within and among political, economic, environmental, social, and legal systems associated with the occupation and the business/industry and will demonstrate legal and ethical behavior, safety practices, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and appropriate written and verbal communication skills using the terminology of the occupation and the business/industry. Prerequisite: OTHA 2266, OTHA 1253, and OTHA 2305.

OTHA 2302 Therapeutic Use of Occupations or Activities II
Continuation of OTHA 1315. Emphasis on advanced techniques and applications used in traditional and non-traditional practice settings. Prerequisite: OTHA 1315.

OTHA 2330 Workplace Skills for the Occupational Therapy Assistant
Seminar-based course designed to complement Level II fieldwork by creating a discussion forum addressing events, skills, knowledge, and/or behaviors related to the practice environment. Application of didactic coursework to the clinic and test-taking strategies for certification exams. Prerequisite: OTHA 2235.
