Study of fundamentals of Japanese: conversation, basic writing, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and culture.

 JAPN 1512 Japanese II
Continuation of JAPN 1511 with more advanced conversation, basic writing, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and culture. Prerequisite: Students must have completed a first semester college Japanese course of at least four semester hours with a grade of C or better, or have equivalent credit by examination to enroll in JAPN 1512.

 JAPN 2312 Japanese IV
Continuation of JAPN 2311. Prerequisite: JAPN 2311 with a C or better, or equivalent.
