Fire Protection Technology

Students interested in earning Firefighter Certification should take FIRS courses. Basic Firefighter Certification (Firefighter I-VII) is offered in the Spring and Fall semesters. For information about the application process, go to www.austincc.edu/fireprot. Application deadlines: Fall Semester - early May; Spring Semester - early November. For further information contact the Academy at 512-365-1911. FIRT courses are required to earn the AAS degree.
