Should You Enroll In Flex Entry Computer Courses?

Computer courses you can take at your own pace
Individualized assistance available No attendance required except for testing Sign up for Word™, Access™, PowerPoint™, and much more!

What is Flex Entry and how does it work?

Flex Entry Computer Courses are traditional courses offered in a non-traditional setting. There are no structured lectures or demonstrations. There is no required attendance other than taking exams in 8321 at Eastview Campus. All exams are administered by faculty or lab tech in room 8321 at EVC ONLY. These courses may be completed in less than 16 weeks.

The hours for the computer lab dedicated for these courses (EVC 8321) are:
• 9:00 am – 8:30 pm Monday-Thursday
• 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Friday and Saturday
Students may attend any of the classes listed with TBA during these hours of operation. Faculty and/or lab techs will also be available for assistance with assignments at these times.

Session Dates for Flex Entry Computer Courses

For academic regulations, where appropriate and necessary, the first day of class will be:
• SESSION 1 – August 27, 2007 – December 16, 2007
• SESSION 2 – September 24, 2007 – February 10, 2008
• SESSION 3 – October 22, 2007 – March 10, 2008

FOR STUDENTS REGISTERING FOR SESSIONS 2 and 3, PLEASE NOTE THAT ACC CAMPUSES WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN FALL AND SPRING SEMESTERS FROM DECEMBER 17, 2007 – JANUARY 13, 2008, AND FROM MARCH 10 – MARCH 16, 2008, FOR SPRING BREAK.

Registration for Flex Entry Computer Courses

Students may register for Flex Entry courses during regular registration or on the following dates:
• SESSION 1 -- See registration schedule
• SESSION 2 – September 12-19
• SESSION 3 – October 10-17

Orientation for Flex Entry Computer Courses

Orientation is REQUIRED for all students who have never taken a flex entry course. Students are also REQUIRED to attend orientation to take a timed writing for any flex entry course that lists a minimum keyboarding speed as a prerequisite. Student guides and course materials will be distributed for all flex entry courses during orientation. ALL orientations are at Eastview room 8321.
