FAQ
My Information is entered wrong. How can I correct it?
All updates to the phone directory are now being handled by your department’
s Administrative Assistant (or designee). Your Administrative Assistant can
update the following information via the Datatel “XOFF” screen:
- Location: Campus, Building and Room
- Phone number
- Fax number
- Email address
- Personal and/or Departmental web address
If your Administrative Assistant does not have access to this screen, he or
she can register for training at
http://www2.austin.cc.tx.us/it_train/
I used the search box and there are a bunch of numbers at the bottom of the page.
Try typing more into the search box. They more you type, the fewer results you will get back. The search box (aka "Simple Search") will look through each record and will only return results that contain all of the words you entered in the box (words are separated by spaces). Note: You can search against any of the fields (firstname, lastname, campus, phone number, fax, email, etc.) with this box.

Why are there only five items being show per page?
There are a couple of reasons for this. It makes the pages load quicker and allows you to see the results sooner. Also, it discourages "spammers" from compiling a list of everyone's email address, by adding to the amount of effort required to do so.
Will you ever increase the number of results per page?
Possibly, but not by much.
I like the numbers at the bottom of the page, and that it tells how many matches were found. Can you put that at the top?
Technically, yes. However, with the current setup it would require doubling the overhead to make that happen. In other words, in order to have the page info and number of matches at the top, the page would take twice as long to load.
