“PHY 1653 is being discontinued, so the Department has decided after much debate that General Physics I should provide adequate preparation for students that have no high school physics.”

Gina explained that additional comments were added to the Sonography AAS Echocardiography (Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography and AAS Diagnostic Medical Sonography plans to align them with department web pages and the catalog. This statement was added: “All applicants must have completed a minimum of a Certified Nurse Aide Course, MATH 1314 College Algebra, BIOL 2304/2101 Human Anatomy Lecture/Lab, and PHYS 1401 General College Physics. Each pre-requisite course must be completed with a grade of C or better within five years of application to a Sonography program.”

The certificate was modified to include this statement “Restricted enrollment. This optional certificate is only available to concurrently enrolled AAS degree-plan students. Contact Sonography program for more information.”
