Assistant, International Programs
Reports To
Director, International Programs
Job Purpose
To provide assistance to the International Programs Office and International Business Institute.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates activities and special events related to the development and continuance of partnerships between ACC and the international community by preparing marketing collateral, presentations, and brochures in English and Spanish.
Assists with hotel, hospitality, meeting, and field trip arrangements; coordinates the arrangement of translators and interpreters of other languages as required.
Prepares collateral materials used to promote International Program activities at international trade and economic development events.
Provides assistance with promoting international business courses and degrees.
Provides assistance with research, data collection, and materials compilation for grant proposals related to international programs.
Assists faculty members interested in the development of international programs outside the United States including preparing marketing materials, proposals, budgets, travel arrangements, and itineraries.
Provides Spanish language translation and interpretation assistance to students, faculty, administrators, and relevant departments; assists foreign students, delegations, business professionals, and dignitaries visiting ACC in relation to translating and interpreting services.
Develops and maintains the International Program website in both English and Spanish, provides assistance to other departments implementing websites in Spanish.

Computer Skills
Required
Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications as well as publishing software and website maintenance.
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Work Experience
Required
One year work experience providing assistance with international programs and translation/interpretation services.
Preferred
Work experience in international event planning.
Education
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Other
Required
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Preferred
Experience with and understanding of cultural differences in an educational environment.
