Reports To
Executive Vice President, Finance
Job Purpose
To research, compile, and analyze information that has a potential for affecting College fiscal issues; prepare clear and concise reports and/or summaries; and coordinate special projects as assigned.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Researches and produces documented reports and coordinates special projects in relation to higher education topics that have a potential for affecting ACC Business Services activities.
Reviews national and local publications as well as national, state, and community college legislative websites to identify, investigate, and summarize developments and/or potential trends that could impact College enrollment, taxes, tuition, or other budget related issues.
Analyzes and evaluates legislative bills and riders, potential state regulations, and local city and county issues to determine their impact on the College budget.
Monitors state legislative sessions, hearings, and journals for developments that may impact higher education and ACC Business Services activities.
Monitors activities at the Texas Association of Community Colleges, the Texas Higher Education Board, and area colleges that could impact the budget process at the College.
Identifies potential funding resources for programs and activities that support the Business Services mission and goals; gathers data; and writes and prepares grant applications in coordination with departmental staff and the Grants Development office.
Attends meetings of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, investigates and analyzes topics for relevance, and produces summaries as required.

Computer Skills
Required
Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications and conducting internet-based research.
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Work Experience
Required
Two years work experience analyzing information in relation to fiscal issues.
Preferred
Three years work experience analyzing information, documenting research, and/or writing proposals.
Education
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Preferred
Master's degree in related field.
