Assistant I, Human Resources
Reports To
Director, Manager or designee
Job Purpose
To support the human resource department by providing data entry and other clerical assistance.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Composes and distributes correspondence and other written documents or reports.
Assists internal or external customers by responding to inquiries and/or providing information.
Prepares and prints reports.
Gathers information and reviews for accuracy.
May create and post job vacancies, prepare job offer packets, and track paperwork.
May prepare handouts for new hire orientation and assist in presenting orientation.
Knowledge
Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
Required
Administrative procedures, principles, and practices.
Basic recruitment, employment processes and/or payroll principles and processes.
Customer service principles and practices.
Basic employment and payroll laws and regulations.

Computer Skills
Required
Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications.
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling
Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment
Work Experience
Required
One year related work experience.
Education
Required
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
Associate's degree in related field.
Other
Preferred
Knowledge of ACC rules, policies, and procedures, Employment and Hiring Guidelines and/or job vacancy system.
Safety
Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
