Assistant, College Connection ACCeleration Team (CCAT)
Reports To
College Connection ACCeleration Team Supervisor, or designee.
Job Purpose
To provide customer service assistance to current students and prospective students. To assist College Connection ACCeleration Team in data tracking, processing and service delivery.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides clerical support and data tracking for College Connection ACCeleration Team and all College Connection functions including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, advising, assessment, and registration.
Creates and maintains databases, spreadsheets, reports of student records, and other records related to the College Connection projects including entry of admissions, assessment, and advising records for College Connection student participants.
Assists current and prospective students by providing information on the enrollment process, including admissions, financial aid, and assessment.
Responds to questions and inquiries in person, by telephone, or via e-mail.
May make travel and other arrangements for meeting participants.
Assists College Connection ACCeleration Team in maintaining accurate calendar of events.
Monitors and screens student records for status information including holds.

Computer Skills
Required
Demonstrated proficiency at an intermediate level using standard office software programs including word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation programs.
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling
Subject to traveling within the Austin Community College District service area.
Work is normally conducted in office and educational environments.
Work Experience
Required
One year clerical or support work experience in an office or educational environment.
Preferred
Two years work experience in student services and/or administrative support services in higher education.
Education
Required
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
Associate's degree.
Other

Bilingual in Spanish/English
