| A study of materials and devices that are used to make buildings more efficient. The course will review different types of materials as well as how to do assessments of existing structures. Topics such as windows, doors, insulation, and other alternative energy efficient construction materials are reviewed. Students will learn how to distinguish between materials in terms of energy efficiency. Students will also learn how to do assessments, visual inspections as well as return on investment analysis. The students will also be exposed to the business side of renewable energy. Emphasis will be placed on hands-on training. |
