COMM 1336 TV PRODUCTION I (3-1-4). A study of basic television production as it applies to live studio programming. Beginning instruction is offered in areas of studio camera operation, audio for television, and television directing, with an emphasis on underlying principles of video technology. COMM 2325 AUDIO PRODUCTION (3-2-2). A basic course dealing with the fundamentals of audio recording production for radio, television, and film. COMM 2331 TV AND RADIO ANNOUNCING (3-3-0). A study of the principles of developing effective voice presentation for television and radio. The course includes analysis of announcing and newscasting practices. Current methods in the television and radio industry are covered. COMM 2339 WRITING FOR RADIO, TELEVISION, FILM (3-3-0). This course will instruct the student in basic script formats, terminology, and writing techniques for radio, television, cable, and video. Writing for news broadcast, promotional announcements, and spot announcements and documentary, dramatic, and experimental television will be covered.
