FY 2009 Degree Plan

Electronics and Advanced Technologies

The Electronics and Advanced Technologies department of Austin Community College offers several degree options to cater to your specific career goals. Students can earn an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics and Advanced Technologies or one of several certificates offered in different specializations within the department. Degree specializations are centered on a common set of electronics courses called the Electronics Common Core Curriculum (ECCC) which are required to be taken by each specialization. To earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics and Advanced Technologies, a student would complete the ECCC, as well as a set of courses satisfying the college's General Education requirement, and all courses required within the student's choice of specialization. To earn a second degree within Electronics and Advanced Technologies, a student could simply take the additional courses required of the second specialization. Students transferring to four-year programs should always consult with an advisor or articulation officer from their receiving institutions. The department offers many student scholarships, encourages students to do industry internships and prides itself in developing very strong industry relationships.
