The Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology program enables the student to become proficient in the installation, repair and maintenance of commercial and domestic heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems through the study of the theory and application of air conditioning principles. Study includes principles of heat transfer, pressure and temperature laws, soldering, electrical circuits, trouble shooting and maintenance procedures, and use of test equipment. The labs include extensive handson experience.

The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Certificate program provides the basics of service and repair. It is best suited for the individual desiring to enter the field with a minimum of formal training. All courses in the oneyear certificate can be applied toward the ACR Associate degree.
