Education

Special Admission Requirements for All Education Students

All Associate of Arts in Teaching students will be required to authorize independent school districts to complete a comprehensive criminal history check. Students will not be allowed to participate in course activities such as public school observing and teaching in the classroom without criminal background clearance. Participation in these activities is a major portion of each course.

EC-4 GRADE LEVEL-EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIALIZATION
Associate of Arts in Teaching

This program is designed to provide students with the first two years of a four-year degree leading to teacher certification for those who wish to teach young children.
