1 Foreign language hours must be in the same language.
2 Students with 8-9 foreign language hours must take an additional 1-2 hours of an unrestricted elective.
3 The course for the Math requirement must be chosen from the following: MATH 1332, MATH 1342, or MATH 1314 (depending on Math requirements of the four­year institution to which the student will be transferring). Students should first consult with a mathematics advisor.
4 The course for the Humanities/Fine Arts requirement must be chosen from the following: ARTS 1303, ARTS 1304, DANC 2303, DRAM 1310, HUMA 1315, HUMA 1301, COMM 1307, MUSI 1306, MUSI 1301, PHIL 1301, PHIL 2306, PHIL 1304, DRAM 2366, DRAM 2367, SPCH 1315, SPCH 1318 or SPCH 1311. Students are encouraged to satisfy the Visual and Performing Arts requirement of the Core Curriculum.
5 The Oral Proficiency Elective may be taken from: SPCH 1311, SPCH 1315, SPCH 1318. Students are encouraged to satisfy the Speech requirement of the Core Curriculum.
6 The literature course must be chosen from the following: ENGL 2322, ENGL 2323, ENGL 2327, ENGL 2328, ENGL 2332, ENGL 2333, ENGL 2713, ENGL 2723.
7 The following courses are recommended to satisfy the Natural Science requirement: PHYS 1311, PHYS 1312, BIOL 1408, BIOL 1409, BIOL 2206, BIOL 2106, CHEM 1405, GEOL 1305, PSC 1603, PSC 1613, PHYS 1401. Students are encouraged to satisfy the requirements of the Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Social/ Behavioral Sciences section of the Core Curriculum list.
8 General Unrestricted Electives: Although these courses may be taken from any Program, students planning to transfer to a four­year college or university are advised to choose electives from Arts and Sciences courses applicable to their four­year degree.
