TECHNICAL COMMUNICATIONS
Associate of Applied Science Degree

This program is designed to give students the writing and editing skills and the technical background necessary for careers in technical communication. The range of computer and technical electives permits students to coordinate their communications skills with training in a variety of technical areas.

1 Must be taken from CIS 1023 or CIS 1033.
2 Students must take all coursework in the minor plan from one of the following: Computer Information Systems, Engineering Design Graphics, Electronic Technology, Quality Assurance Technology, or another scientific or technical subject area subject to TCM Program approval.
3 Must be taken from CIS 1023, CIS 1053, CIS 2003, CIS 2033, CIS 2043, CIS 2044, CIS 2204, CSC 1044, GRPH 1144, or GRPH 1454.
4 Must be taken from GRPH 1423 or DFTG 1405.
5 Must be selected from MATH 1332, MATH 1314, MATH 1324, or higher.
6 Must be selected from General Education Core Curriculum list.
7 Must be taken from ENGL 2333, ENG 2713, ENG 2723, HUM 1603, or HUMA 1301.
8 Technical Comunications Electives: +TCM 2733, +TCM 2732, +TCM 2711, +TCM 2713.
9 The graduate's Capstone Portfolio Examiniation Project must be approved at the beginning of the semester and reviewed and approved at least one week before the end of the semester by the TCM Program Coordinator or a designated TCM faculty member.
