+ Prerequisites: See Course Descriptions
1 Students may choose any course in the Visual and Performing Arts section of the Core Curriculum.
2 Students should consult with a fulltime mathematics instructor to determine if it is necessary to take one or more mathematics courses (like MATD 0390 or MATH 1314, MATH 1316, or MTH 1764) before taking calculus.
3 Biology courses covering evolutionary or environmental topics are especially recommended.
4 Although general electives may be chosen from any collegecredit program at ACC, students intending to transfer to a fouryear college or university are advised to choose courses applicable to their fouryear degree. Additional geology courses (such as GEOL 1345) and foreign language courses are especially recommended. Consult the catalog of the institution to which you plan to transfer. Students are encouraged to satisfy the Visual and Performing Arts section of the Core Curriculum. Students may also choose to satisfy the Social and Behavioral Sciences requirement of the Core Curriculum.

Students with a strong mathematics background may substitute PHY 1653 for PHYS 1401/1402. All students must complete MATH 2413 before enrolling in PHYS 2425. Students may also subtitute a course from the Natural Sciences section of the Core Curriculum.
