This certificate program prepares the student for a career as a medical sonographer through classroom study and supervised clinical experience. Upon completion of the prescribed curriculum, the student is eligible to take an examination for the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification in Abdominal and OB/GYN specialties. Admission is limited to certified radiographers, registered nurses with a strong background in OB/GYN, or persons with other equivalent medical experience. Admission to the college does not guarantee admission to the program and enrollment is limited.
