Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems (Computer Programming) includes courses from the Arts and Sciences Curricula, as well as a wide array of computer courses designed to train the student for an entry-level programming position.

Associate of Applied Science Degree

Tech Prep

Austin Community College's Local Area Network is a Tech Prep program participant. High School students may receive college credit for approved courses taken during high school. All students including tech-prep students may receive an Enhanced Skills Certificate concurrent with completion of the Associate of Applied Science degree. The Enhanced Skills Certificate requires CIS 2121 or CIS 2122 or CIS 2123 and CIS 2053 and CIS 2083. Credits articulated from high school are CIS 1003, CIS 1093, CIS 1303 and CIS 2303.
