SRGT 1144 TECHNOLOGICAL SCIENCES FOR THE SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST (1-1-0). In-depth coverage of specialized surgical modalities. SRGT 1392 SPECIAL TOPICS IN SURGICAL/OPERATING ROOM TECHNICIAN: CARDIOVASCULAR SPECIALTY (3-3-0). An in-depth study of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular anatomy, pathology and pathophysiological changes, congenital defects, surgical management, rehabilitation, and the long-term effects of these disease processes. SRGT 1441 SURGICAL PROCEDURES I (4-4-0). Introduction to surgical pathology and its relationship to surgical procedures. Emphasis on surgical procedures related to the general, OB/GYN, genitourinary, and orthopedic surgical specialties incorporating instruments, equipment, and supplies required for safe patient care. SRGT 1442 SURGICAL PROCEDURES II (4-4-0). Introduction to surgical pathology and its relationship to surgical procedures. Emphasis on surgical procedures related to the thoracic, peripheral vascular, plastic/reconstructive, EENT, cardiac, and neurological surgical specialties incorporating instruments, equipment, and supplies required for safe patient care. SRGT 1505 INTRODUCTION TO SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY (5-4-3). Orientation to surgical technology theory, surgical pharmacology and anesthesia, technological sciences, and patient care concepts.
